Limited to 20 Adventurers

Join Oregon singer/songwriter (and past river guide) Alice Di Micele on a magical, musical adventure down Idaho’s Main Salmon River. Expertly guided and catered by the team at Yellow Jacket River Guides with entertainment by Alice, this will be an epic journey you will remember for a lifetime. Many of Alice’s most beloved songs were inspired by trips just like this one. We’ll bring 20 folks with us for this intimate wilderness experience. Whether you are a long-time fan of Alice’s music or just found her songs recently, you are in for a unique experience. Alice’s music is deeply rooted in the natural world and she has a strong commitment to protecting wild places. She guided raft trips on the Wild and Scenic Rogue River from 2001 - 2008 and is most inspired when in river canyons on trips much like this one.

“Alice’s music has that great combination of earthiness and groove that keeps it funky from the inside out. She’s for real.” — Bonnie Raitt

Trip length: 5 days, 4 nights  * July 2, 2027 (July 1 Orientation) through July 6th, 2027

Trip Details:  The adventure begins in Salmon, Idaho on July 1, with an orientation meeting at the Stagecoach Inn the evening before the launch. The next morning (July 2nd), we travel by chartered bus 68 miles down the Salmon River to Corn Creek, where the road ends and the wilderness begins. The downriver portion of our trip ends mid-day on July 6th, when we rendezvous with our chartered jetboat for a thrilling ride back upstream to Corn Creek. High or low water conditions may necessitate adapting the trip beginning and/or ending point. If alternate transportation is required (such as a flight out from the river corridor), additional costs will be the responsibility of the participant.  This rare occurrence is highly unlikely in early July.

CAN I BRING MY OWN CRAFT? Sure, if you are an experienced Class III to IV boater. Plan to drive your own vehicle from Salmon to Corn Creek for the launch. At the end of the trip, the return jetboat capacity is based on weight load. Depending on the total number of participants, personal crafts may exceed the jetboat weight limit. If so, YJRG will transport your rafting gear from the Carey Creek takeout back to Salmon, arriving by mid-day on July 7th. Both jetboat and ground transport require de-rig of your craft, including rolling/folding. If you prefer to have a vehicle shuttled, costs will be the responsibility of the participant. Vehicle shuttle price is ~$600 plus fuel.

Trip Price: $2400.00 * Round trip Salmon to Salmon * 20% deposit to reserve

10% REDUCED EARLYBIRD PRICING: Pay your deposit by July 2, 2026 and save $240

Trip price includes: Rafting and camping equipment, fees and taxes, meals, guide and camp services, round trip ground transportation from Salmon to Corn Creek, and jetboat transportation back upriver. It does not include additional pre or post trip transportation, pre or post trip meals and lodging, specialty beverages (liquor), or gratuities. Whitewater rafting is a service industry, and tips are a greatly appreciated way to thank your guides for exceptional care. If you choose to tip, 15 to 20 percent of trip retail price is a good guideline. It is also customary to tip the jetboat pilot.

Payments, Cancellations and Refunds: Reservations are secured with a 20% non-refundable deposit. Due to the limited space available on our Salmon River Adventures, all payments will be forfeited for cancellations made within 90 days of your launch. Prior to that time, cancellations will be assessed a 20% charge.  If YJRG cancels your trip due to "acts of god," including, but not limited to water, weather, fire, or other environmental conditions, no refunds will be issued.  Credit card payments are assessed a 3% fee to be added to your final invoice. Payment by check can be mailed to YJRG, PO Box 243, Salmon, ID 83467.

YJRG STRONGLY RECOMMENDS THE PURCHASE OF TRIP INSURANCE. Inquire with your preferred insurance agent. In Salmon, insurance can be purchased through Haynes Creek Travel, operated by Stefani Bennett (208.933.3032).
